RUWA-GHANA Participated in Plan International Ghana WVL Partners Training Workshop on Communication and Media Engagement
The training was as part of its implementation of the Women’s Voice and Leadership Gender Transformative Programme (WVL-GTP), to train 24 partner women’s rights organisations (WROs) across Ghana on effective communication and media engagement. It was a two-day training programme that took place in the Boatema Conference Hall of the MJ Grand Hotel in Accra on Thursday, March 31, through to Friday, April 1, 2022, and involved one participant from each of the 24 organisations.
The training focused on effective media engagement foundations, implementing communication strategy/plan, gender responsive communications, building and maintaining good media relations to enable WROs to amplify their voices on women’s rights initiatives such as the WVL-GTP.
“Effective communication will enhance the visibility of our projects and deepen advocacy for women’s empowerment.” Patricia Essel, Project Lead for the WVL-GTP project at Plan International Ghana, added as she was addressing participants on the importance of the workshop.
